Emily’s Entourage is seeking a full-time Director of Corporate Partnerships and Institutional Giving to spearhead partnerships in support of EE’s urgent mission to speed lifesaving breakthroughs and a cure for the final 10% of the CF community that does not currently benefit from mutation-targeted therapies.
La posición
This role will vitally contribute to the organization’s growth and drive the achievement of ambitious revenue goals. The ideal candidate will be a skilled relationship developer and partnership manager, a driven and goal-oriented fundraiser, and a strategic thinker.
EE has built a robust corporate partnership and foundation grant program that currently generates approximately 25% of the organization’s annual revenue. The funds raised through this program drive EE’s aggressive investment in research to speed therapeutic development for the final 10%. EE’s current portfolio of corporate and foundation supporters includes more than 40 life sciences, medical device, and industry partners who support EE through annual sponsorship, sponsorship of special events or digital awareness campaigns, or foundation grants. As the organization’s work continues to advance, there is immense opportunity to strengthen and form new strategic partnerships and develop innovative revenue streams to drive EE’s critical mission.
The Director of Corporate Partnerships and Institutional Giving will join a growing team that includes two co-founders, a Director of Operations, Director of Fundraising and Special Events, Manager of Marketing and Communications, Chief Scientific Officer, Executive Assistant (currently recruiting for this role), and the Database Manager. The Director of Corporate Partnerships and Institutional Giving will report to the Director of Operations.
La organización
Emily’s Entourage accelerates research and drug development for the final 10% of people with cystic fibrosis (CF) that do not benefit from mutation-targeted therapies, including those with nonsense mutations. Our goal is singular: to expedite lifesaving treatments and a cure for the final 10% who are waiting with bated and fading breath.
EE is an innovative 501(c)3 that speeds breakthroughs and a cure for the final 10% of people with CF that do not benefit from current mutation-targeted therapies, including those with nonsense mutations. Founded by Emily Kramer-Golinkoff with family and friends, EE is fueled by powerful communities, small and large, in person and virtual, that have rallied together, raising more than $11M dollars since 2011 to drive high-impact research and drug development.
By providing critical leadership and coordination, EE advances high-impact research, facilitates multi-stakeholder collaboration and information exchange, and enables targeted, expedited clinical trial recruitment to speed breakthroughs for the final 10% of the CF community. This is done through several programs, including: research grants, venture philanthropy, a patient registry and clinical trial matchmaking program, and patient advocacy and education. To date, EE has funded 31 research grants, secured over $42.8M in follow-on funding, launched a now- acquired CF gene therapy company, developed a patient registry and clinical trial matchmaking program to accelerate clinical trial recruitment, and led worldwide efforts to drive high-impact research and drug development.
While the urgency of the organization is inspired by Emily, the work of EE gives impetus to advances that can benefit not only patients with CF, but also millions of people with genetic diseases, as well as those combating antibiotic-resistant infections for whom there are no existing treatments.
The work of EE has been featured in the New York Times, STAT, CNN, TheSkimm, People, and more. Emily was named a “Champion of Change” for President Obama’s Precision Medicine Initiative and is the recipient of the 2016 Global Genes Rare Champion of Hope for Advocacy Award and the 2020 Philadelphia Magazine Luminary Award.
