Happy Birthday Emily!

Hi all!

Today is a very special day for us at Emily’s Entourage. Today is Emily’s 27th birthday! First and most importantly, we want to wish Emily a very happy birthday.

Birthday are particularly meaningful in the CF world. Over the past 60 years, there have been major advancements in CF treatment that have allowed people with CF to live longer and better. Whereas in the 1950s, children with CF rarely made it to elementary school, today the projected life expectancy for someone with CF is in the mid-30s. We want to celebrate these advancements wholeheartedly, but also remember that mid-30s is still far too young. With each birthday and especially as Emily turns 27 today, we are reminded of just how close – and premature – mid-30s really is.

So today we invite you to join us in celebrating Emily’s birthday and the CF advancements that have allowed her to live 27 years (and counting) so fully! We ask that you wish Emily a happy birthday by posting about Emily’s Entourage on Facebook and encouraging your friends to “LIKE” the Emily’s Entourage page to help us reach our goal of 1,000 fans. On days like today, we are reminded more than ever about the importance of of our cause and why we must keep on fighting to find a cure.

We want Emily to have dozens upon dozens of future “happy birthdays” and we need your help to make our dream a reality.
