Dearest Entourage,

2021 was a momentous year. It marked Emily’s Entourage’s (EE) 10th anniversary. It’s a milestone that carried special meaning for us as the number ten reflects our mission: to create lifesaving breakthroughs for the final 10% of the cystic fibrosis (CF) community that do not benefit from existing mutation-targeted therapies.

In a beautiful confluence of kismet and commitment, 2021 was also the year that we hit the $10 million all-time fundraising mark — the most perfect demonstration of the dedication, conviction, and generosity of our almighty Entourage!

Back in 2011 as we dreamt up EE on our living room floor, we could have never imagined where we would find ourselves ten years later. With 22 research grants funded, $37.6+ million in follow-on funding secured, and an EE-founded CF gene therapy company moving towards clinic, we have come a long way in the past decade. EE has emerged as a worldwide leader for the final 10% of the CF community — all thanks to you.

These achievements are worthy of celebration, but we’ve never been inclined to rest on our laurels. As a patient- and family-led research organization, one of our greatest assets is that we feel the urgency of our mission every single minute of every day — and that’s the force that propels us to charge forward.

Of course, none of this would be possible without you.

Thank you for helping us transform big ideas into bold action and results that matter. Thank you for inspiring us, for believing in us, and for pushing us forward on this critical quest. Though we started “small,” we’ve always punched above our weight.
