{"id":18963,"date":"2023-05-31T10:57:32","date_gmt":"2023-05-31T14:57:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.emilysentourage.org\/?page_id=18963"},"modified":"2023-06-26T09:45:48","modified_gmt":"2023-06-26T13:45:48","slug":"collaborative-grants","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.emilysentourage.org\/pt_br\/collaborative-grants\/","title":{"rendered":"Subven\u00e7\u00f5es Colaborativas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emily\u2019s Entourage&#8217;s (EE) <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Collaborative Grants support research projects that bring together multiple investigators with diverse areas of expertise to jointly tackle challenges in the development of therapeutics for individuals in the final 10% of the CF community who do not benefit from CFTR modulators, including those with rare and nonsense mutations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These grants are awarded to teams of <b>three or more investigators<\/b> with complementary expertise to advance therapeutic development in ways that could not be achieved without a collaborative approach. The funding amount is determined by the project scope and budget. Applicants may request funding to support the project for a total of three years. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Applicant Eligibility Criteria<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><b>Institutional Eligibility<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open to both non-profit academic and for-profit organizations such as academic research organizations, biotech companies, partnerships that span for and non-profit organizations, etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open to institutions worldwide.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teams may comprise investigators from a single institution or multiple institutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Investigator Eligibility<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are no restrictions on citizenship or geography.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Project Eligibility<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Translational and preclinical projects are eligible.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project must seek to address an overarching, urgent scientific question.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sub-projects should be designed to elucidate various aspects of the overarching question,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">theme, or focus.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Projects must include evidence that the proposed therapeutic modality works (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">either in a cell-based assay or in an animal model or in another suitable system). <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proposed projects must not be supported by other sources of funding.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Team Composition<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teams must be composed of one Principle Investigator (PI) and 2-4 co-PIs. PI serves as the single point of contact with EE during the application process.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inter-institutional collaborations are strongly encouraged.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each lab receives at least 10% of the total grant budget.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Deadline<\/b><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LOIs are
